Most churches suffer from what is known as the “80/20 Rule.” This is most often the result of not connecting the gifts of willing people with the right opportunities – not unwilling people.
The Guild is aimed at solving this problem.

Help the administrative staff fulfill various projects and tasks. If you are driven towards organization and task completion, this is a place you’d fit well. There’s always plenty to do.
Some responisbilities include: complete or direct projects and administrative needs from the office throughout the year, work from home, commit to deadlines and project completion dates
Serve in the sound & video ministry in all our services. If you have a background in audio and visual production, this team is for you. We also provide training for those who are interested, but have no experience.
Some responisbilities include: be a part of the scheduled serving rotation for Sunday mornings and other services, setup and tear down for various services, serve at special services
Plan food & refreshments for special events at CBC. If you enjoy baking, cooking or creating things people like to consume, please sign up for this. For purposes of quality control, the staff is available to sample your goodies.
Some responisbilities include: prepare food, serve, and clean up at events of varying sizes, work within a budget, create event menus
Create original graphics for ministries, preaching series and events. If you have an eye for presentation and know your way around graphic design software, we’d love to see what you can do. Portfolio of past designs required.
Some responisbilities include: work on graphic designs in a short time frame, commit and meet design deadlines
Use your home for various events throughout the year. If you enjoy having people over and find great fulfillment in making people feel welcomed, you belong in this group. Can we come over?
Some responisbilities include: use your home for specific events and/or on-going ministry events (HFG, etc.), host people overnight, provide meals for those staying overnight, loan vehicle to overnight visitors
Take photographs of church events and projects. If you have an eye for photography and own the right equipment, we could use you. Portfolio of past work must be provided.
Some responisbilities include: photograph events, participate in ministry projects involving photographs and images, participate in offsite photography needs
Lend a hand in the organization & setup of special events. This one is simple: if you are available and willing – you’re qualified.
Some responisbilities include: participate in planning sessions weeks in advance of events, direct or serve on an event team, setup, tear down and clean up events, recruit volunteers for special events, serve on cook crew
Produce videos for various uses throughout the year at CBC. If your skill-set includes shooting and editing videos and own the right equipmet, we need your help. Portfolio of past videos required.
Some responisbilities include: think creatively with staff to bring vision for video to life, commit and meet deadlines
Make sure visitors who come through our doors feel welcome and connected. If you are driven by compassion for others and have never met a stranger, we need you on this team.
Some responsibilities include: greet visitors as they enter CBC, connect with visitors in the Connecting Room on Sundays, light administrative work (i.e. follow up calls, data input, etc.)
