The correlation between how we use our finances and our vision of life is undeniable. The vision of life for Christians begins with Jesus himself. When we encounter Jesus there is an estimation of life that radically alters all our priorities. Everything, whether loss or gain, pales in comparison to the value of Christ. There is, therefore, a glorious consequence in knowing him. This includes our money. When you live in light of redemption’s epic completion and the scope of the cross of Christ it radically re-calibrates your life.

Christ has freed us from innumerable bondages. Greed is one of them. This is part of the brilliance of the Gospel. Somehow receiving everything in Christ frees us to give everything else away. What we give we give not to gain anything, but because we have received everything.
